And now, in July 2026, Nike has launched the first full signature collection from one of Britain's most defining current athletes.

Keely Hodgkinson. Olympic champion. Indoor world record holder. And now, the face of a full Nike Running pack.

Who Is Keely Hodgkinson?

If you've followed British athletics at all in the past few years, you'll know the name. Born in Atherton, Greater Manchester in 2002, Keely burst onto the international scene as a 19-year-old at the delayed Tokyo Olympics in 2021, taking silver in the 800m final. It was the kind of performance that turns a promising junior athlete into a household name overnight.

From there, she kept building. Two European titles, two World Championship silver medals, and years spent as the athlete everyone in the sport was watching. Then came Paris 2024, and the moment she'd been chasing for the best part of a decade: Olympic gold in the 800m, and with it, her place among the defining British athletes of the modern era.

Since then, she's only pushed further. In early 2026, she broke the world indoor 800m record, taking down a mark that had stood for 24 years. A few weeks later, she followed it up with her first World Indoor Championship title. She's been a Nike athlete since 2019, and after everything she's achieved in the last year alone, it's easy to see why the partnership has now moved into signature territory.

What the Collection Represents

Nike launched the Keely Hodgkinson Collection on 16 July 2026, describing it as capturing "the speed, focus and individuality of one of the sport's defining athletes."

The design language draws on Keely's duality. On the track, she's dominant, calculated, operating in a category of her own. Away from competition, she's unfiltered and unapologetically herself. Nike has translated that into a grounded black foundation across every piece, with metallic gold accents that reference her achievements as an Olympic, world and European champion. Subtle details, including her signature "tornado" logo and detachable "KH" charms, tie the collection together.

The pack covers four Nike Running silhouettes: Vomero Plus, Pegasus 42, Vaporfly 4 and Victory 2 spike, alongside an AeroSwift crop top, AeroSwift 5-inch tight short, and Nike Pro Sculpt long-sleeve top and short. Between them, they cover recovery, daily training, race day and the track.

Vomero Plus: The Recovery Shoe

The Vomero Plus is Keely's go-to for recovery runs, and it's easy to see why. Aggressive rocker geometry. It's the fourth generation of the Vaporfly, the shoe that changed marathon running when the original launched in 2016.

For competitive runners chasing race times, the Vaporfly 4 sits at the front of the market. Nike positions it as versatile across distances from the mile to the half marathon and beyond, though it's still fundamentally a race and fast-session shoe rather than something for daily mileage.

What This Collection Signals

Signature athlete collections in running are still relatively rare. Nike has released signature pieces with track and field athletes before, but a full signature pack anchored by a British middle-distance runner is genuinely new territory. It reflects both Keely's status within the sport and the growing cultural weight of running as a lifestyle beyond pure competition.

For Nike, the timing is deliberate. The 2026 season has been Keely's most dominant yet. The world indoor record. The world indoor title. The buildup to another outdoor World Championships. 

For runners, the appeal cuts two ways. There's the practical: two well-designed shoes with specific training purposes, presented in a considered colour palette.
