Delivery Information

achilles heel can deliver orders worldwide. This includes delivery via the British Forces Post Office.

When we Despatch Orders

All orders will be dispatched within 24 hours of your order being placed if the requested items are in stock. Orders received before 2pm are despatched the same day. Any orders received after this time will be despatched on the next working day.

Out of Stock Items

If a product is out of stock after you order or we can only deliver part of your order we will contact you straight away, either by email or by phone. On contact with you we will explain the situation and offer any available alternatives, one of which will include cancelling your order.

Should you decide to leave any product on back order, you can contact us at any time for an update on the order or you can log into your online account to check status of your order.

Delivery Costs

We calculate delivery costs according to your delivery choice: either delivered to your chosen address or picked up directly from our shop in Glasgow in person.

When we deliver, postage will only be charged on the initial payment for any part orders we dispatch. We will charge no further postage on any items we dispatch thereafter.

Please refer to our delivery charges page, which lists how much we charge with a corresponding estimated arrival time.

In the unlikely event that your order is returned back to achilles heel due to a failed delivery then a re-delivery fee will be charged. Please note that customers wishing to cancel orders at this stage will have any postage costs deducted from their refund.

Collect in person from achilles heel

Orders placed before 2pm will be available for collection on the next working day. Orders placed after 2pm will be available for collection in 2 working days. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the Monday. Please note that when you pick up your order in person you need to bring along the following items:

  • Order confirmation
  • Proof of identification (e.g. driving licence, student card)

Deliveries to the United Kingdom

For deliveries to the UK, we offer four options: Sprint, Run, Jog and Saturday Delivery.

Mainland - Sprint Delivery

Sprint is our speedy service delivered by Interlink Express. This is available within the UK mainland and is a next working day service. You will receive an email with your tracking information and also a one hour delivery window so you don't have to wait in all day for your parcel. If you supply us your mobile number we can text the estimated time of arrival straight to your mobile.

If you are not going to be home during delivery hours you can provide brief instructions to leave orders with a neighbour (this option can be chosen when filling out your delivery details).

Please note that all orders require a signature to confirm safe delivery. achilles heel cannot be held responsible for items that go missing if instructed to deliver to a neighbour.

Postcode Search

Alternatively you can pick up your order from Interlink Express or call Interlink Express to arrange a re-delivery. Do a postcode search to find your closest Interlink Express branch.

Mainland - Run Delivery

Not quite as fast as a sprint but still pretty quick. This option is delivered by Royal Mail which takes between 2-3 working days. It's a nice balance of both speed and cost. Please be aware that orders with a higher value and weight will be sent through Interlink Express for insurance reasons.

Mainland - Jog Delivery

Jog works well if you're not in a hurry to receive your order. Jog is free of charge and takes between 4-7 working days. The majority of orders going through our Jog delivery service will be sent via Royal Mail 2nd class. Please be aware that orders with a higher value and weight will be sent through Interlink Express for insurance reasons.

Mainland - Saturday Delivery

Select Saturday delivery before 2pm on a Friday and receive your order on the Saturday. Now that's fast. This service is provided by Royal Mail and is only available within the UK mainland, Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles / Islands. You can track your item online using the Royal Mail Track & Trace service. Contact us for your Royal Mail tracking number.

Please note that an additional charge may be applicable for items weighing over 2kg.

Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles / Islands - Sprint Delivery

We can also offer Sprint delivery to customers in Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles / Islands. This service will be delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery or 1st class, depending on weight and value.

Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles / Islands - Run Delivery

Not quite as fast as a sprint but still pretty quick. This option is delivered by Royal Mail which takes between 2-3 working days. It's a nice balance of both speed and cost.

Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles / Islands - Jog Delivery

Jog delivery works well if you're not in a hurry to receive your order. Jog delivery is free of charge and takes between 3-7 working days. The majority of orders going through our Jog service will be sent via Royal Mail 2nd class.

Europe & Worldwide (including Channel Islands)

Delivery of orders out-with the UK will be sent through Royal Mail, UPS or DPD depending on location.

If we are shipping to an address outside of the United Kingdom, there is a chance you will be charged duties, taxes and brokerage fees.

Duties and taxes on international orders will be assessed by local officials and billed to you separately. Please contact your customs office for information on duties, taxes and restricted items. Unfortunately we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. We are unable to reimburse any costs incurred regardless of the circumstances.

Please note that heavy orders out-with the UK mainland may incur a delivery surcharge. If this is the case we will email you before we proceed with your order.

Missing Parcels

In the unlikely event of your parcel going missing, as the sender we will be responsible for making the enquiries and eventual claim for the lost items. This means that once the courier classes a parcel as lost (15 working days Royal Mail UK deliveries, 28 working days Royal Mail International Deliveries), we can process a replacement or refund immediately.

If a parcel is sent on a Next Day Delivery service we should get a much quicker and detailed response from the courier.

Please contact us via phone or email if your parcel has not arrived within the expected time.
