Physiotherapy can assist people of all ages and abilities to recover from pain and injury and can help restore function. So, whether you are recovering from injury, training for your next event or tired of being in pain, we are here to help. It has a scientific foundation and at Achilles Heel Clinic we use evidence-based practice so you receive the most appropriate and effective treatment that is individually tailored to you. Our team of physiotherapists are highly trained, have many years of experience and are passionate about providing the highest level of care. Our therapists are registered with the Health and care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Our appointments are 45 minutes for both our initial and follow up appointments thus provides us with the sufficient time to listen to your concerns, get to know you as a person and thoroughly assess your problem to ensure we get to the root of the issue. Within all our appointments we have time to provide hands on care and issue clear and concise progressive rehabilitation programmes. We also aim to educate you in self-management and injury prevention strategies to reduce the possibility of injury recurrence.
Our physiotherapists are experts in the management of all musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe. This includes all muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendon injuries, joint problems, arthritis, nerve pain, neck pain, back pain and rehabilitation after surgery. These injuries could be the result of trauma or repetitive strain, or related to lifestyle and work stress or posture. Treatment may include joint and soft tissue mobilisation, spinal mobilisation techniques, exercise therapy, strength and conditioning and general advice and education to improve your confidence in returning to your previous activity levels.
With our level of experience, we are fully aware of when to refer on to other health professionals. We have established good links with local GPs and Orthopaedic Consultants.
